Forth Perspectives was set up by Robert Cole, with a dozen years of experience in working in organisations to drive inclusion and equality progress. We’re driven by a passion for ensuring people can be themselves at work in a safe and supportive environment. Our experience encompasses championing change at front-line and grassroots-level, working with human resources professionals on sustainable structural change and at board level to drive leadership engagement. Sector experience ranges from social housing, finance, insurance through to fast-moving consumer goods, charities and public sector.
We can work with you to show how diverse and inclusive your organisation is – from a colleague, customer, investor and supplier’s perspective. We’ll help you set challenging but realistic aspirations appropriate for your sector, for a safe and welcoming environment. We’ll highlight process, policy and culture change interventions that will help you get there. With a business improvement and customer service background, experienced in delivering people-focussed change programmes, we’re keen for those business benefits to be measurable and demonstrable, in addition to the more intangible, such as reputational enhancements and employee satisfaction.
Leading from the top is critical in inclusion and wellbeing. We work on a one-to-one basis, in small groups and large events to offer our inclusive leadership and equality training. We encourage self-awareness and self-reflection, understanding and supporting difference and authentic ways to turn well-meaning statements into demonstrable change.
With the aid of story, picture and video we raise awareness of the impact of cultural, media and lived experience on assumptions, biases and behaviour, particularly those that have a negative impact on individuals at key points in their career. Recognising that avoiding this can be hard work, interactive sessions are offered at all levels in client organisations to encourage personal commitment to change. This provides a safe yet challenging environment to ask those burning uncomfortable questions and explore new approaches.
